The LAKOTA Band was founded
in 1998 By John "Big John" Waltman, formerly
a session musician for the likes of Jimmy Vaughn.
The band is modeled after the "traditional"
four piece "Power Rock" bands of the late
60's and early 70's whose individual members have
played for and with musicians and bands such as
Pat Benatar, Ronnie Montrose, Angel, the New York
Dolls, Pat Travers, and Nashville session singer
Michelle Krause-Ryehill.
The LAKOTA Band's versatility and variety of music
makes their performances satisfying for patrons
of all ages and is ideal for both public and private
venues. The LAKOTA Band routinely performs "No
Fee" performances for Federally recognized
Charitable organizations.

The
band is called "JUST4FUN" because that’s
why we play together. We all love good Country and
Classic R&R that you can get up and “Shake”
to, and we play plenty of classic slow dancers for
you to romance your honey! We live and work in the
beautiful Shenandoah Valley area, hailing from Berryville,
Woodstock and Edinburg. Each member of the band
has been playing for quite a number of years, but
it is the uniquely combined talents of all the members
that makes JUST4FUN sound so good. We have been
playing the Shenandoah Valley for 5 years now, and
hope you’ve had the opportunity to catch our
show.
Please
visit our website at www.j4fmusic.com.
There you will find our schedule, list of songs,
and access to 14 of our demo songs. There are also
photos of the band in action! Call for our available
dates and rates early as we are typically booked
4-6 months out.
As the
website says: “We are available for Weddings,
Reunions, Parties and a good time. Call and schedule
today!”

Grounds
for Anything began in Feb '02 and has already put
out a 10 song demo. As the name implies, their style
is widely distributed between prog rock, ska, emo,
jazz, and metal. They are competing in Mainstreet
Bar and Grill's Battle of the Bands in June and have
definite chance of taking home the 2K.

A
"Roadhouse Music" band based in Rockbridge
County, Virginia, playing Shenandoah Valley, Charlottesville,
Roanoke, Richmond, Northern Virginia, and East Coast
venues.
Definitely
not into radio tunes, SLINGBLADE is on the cutting
edge of a musical style with roots in the roadhouse
venues of Austin, Texas and the smoky barrooms of
Nashville, Tennessee . It's a swingin', boogie kinda
thang fused with Americana on steroids, and we warn
you that this sound is liable to become addictive.
Raw, driving rhythms, sensual melodies and intriguing
story lines combine to make the SLINGBLADE experience
as interesting as their name. (and the name is a whole
nother story).

Ki:Theory
can best be characterized as a post-grunge power rock
four-piece from Harrisonburg, VA with piercing vocals,
fluid and hard hitting riffs, deafening drums, and
a solid bass foundation.
Ki:Theory's self-titled debut album on Kringer Record,
released on October 10, 2000, contains a wide range
of textures with the blending of acoustic and electric
guitars. The songs are based around powerfully energizing
riffs that propel the band and listener through the
verses. This album combines heavy riffs with an intricate
network of harmonies and melodies |
