Notice 9/8/08: Due to lack of interest, lack of time on my part and the ascendance of sites like mySpace that do a better job of linking people up than I'm able to do here, I don't feel these pages provide enough of a service to justify the time it takes to maintain them. They are no longer being updated and will likely be removed once I have time to give the site a long overdue update.

Blue Suede

Blue Suede was established in Harrisonburg in the Spring of 1995 by a group of seasoned musicians with the idea of providing some of the best swing & rock dance music around.

Drawing its talent from the "Coachmen," "Flashback," "Touch of Class," and "Contraband," Blue Suede has left a trail of "want 'cha backs" in it's brief history.

The range of music goes from 1940's swing to current hits with an emphasis on party oldies. Special requests are available with enough lead time.

No job is too large or too small !! Blue Suede is capable of playing the most intimate of social gatherings, or making the largest events a smashing success! Blue Suede is available for weddings, picnics, shows, cruise-ins, dances, meetings, and anywhere high quality music is required.

The band is called "JUST4FUN" because that’s why we play together. We live and work in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley area, hailing from Berryville, Woodstock and Edinburg. Each member of the band has been playing for quite a number of years, but it is the uniquely combined talents of all the members that makes JUST4FUN sound so good. We have been playing the Shenandoah Valley for 5 years now, and hope you’ve had the opportunity to catch our show.

Please visit our website at www.j4fmusic.com. There you will find our schedule, list of songs, and access to 14 of our demo songs. There are also photos of the band in action! Call for our available dates and rates early as we are typically booked 4-6 months out.

SlingBlade

A  "Roadhouse Music" band based in Rockbridge County, Virginia, playing Shenandoah Valley, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Richmond, Northern Virginia, and East Coast venues.

Definitely not into radio tunes, SLINGBLADE is on the cutting edge of a musical style with roots in the roadhouse venues of Austin, Texas and the smoky barrooms of Nashville, Tennessee . It's a swingin', boogie kinda thang fused with Americana on steroids, and we warn you that this sound is liable to become addictive. Raw, driving rhythms, sensual melodies and intriguing story lines combine to make the SLINGBLADE experience as interesting as their name. (and the name is a whole ‘nother story).
